About

SPORTS DOCTOR

Kristof Sas

Dr Sas specialises in the diagnosis and conservative treatment of (sports) injuries of both upper and lower limb, both in athletes and non-athletes.

Degenerative complaints such as osteoarthritis are also treated by both sports physicians. Treatment consists of targeted physiotherapy, optimisation of muscle chains, sports-specific adjustments, exercise advice and institutionalised infiltrations (hyaluronic acid, PRP and others).

Dr Sas has specific expertise towards ultrasound, including ultrasound infiltrations.

Dr Sas works closely with Dr Verjans who performs cycling tests including VO2max measurement for endurance athletes (only at AZ Glorieux in Ronse) as well as isokinetic testing (BioDex).

Romelu Lukaku

Professional footballer

Sport is important in my life. When years of strain increasingly led to injuries, I came to Dr Sas, who in addition to being a doctor was also an ally who motivated me to continue exercising. His passion and commitment to also make the necessary time and space for me as an ordinary hobbyist and to follow up the healing process gave me an extra drive to get back into it.

Frank Colpaert
